Our Course

Our Course was designed by Mark James and Andrew Mair in 1994. The course has now matured into a challenging par 72 (74 for Ladies) course, with tree lined fairways, some strategically placed bunkers and a couple of tricky water hazards.

We have members with a range of handicaps who all enjoy the course, with it's beautiful setting in the North Northumberland countryside.

Our Gents, Ladies and Mixed Opens attract a number of entrants from clubs across Northumberland and beyond. In 2023 we have had some incredible feedback on the investment we've made into the course. The scorecard for the course is shown below.

The Front Nine

The front nine starts with a nice open 1st, but is quickly followed by a tricky par 3 guarded by sand traps.
The 3rd hole needs careful thought off the tee as it is protected by single trees left and right plus two fairway bunkers to avoid.
The 4th is a par 5 which is again protected by a fairway bunker and large fir tree down the left hand side.

After the 5th and 6th you'll come across the tricky 7th, par 3 played to the old green, but from a new tee, quite a dip in front of the green.

The 8th is an open but challenging par 4, and the dog leg 9th brings the front nine to a close

The Back Nine

The back nine starts with a lovely par 3 with a backdrop of trees.

The 11th and 12th both provide open fairways for long drives, and the 12th is a decent length par 5!

After the 13th, our pond hole, the 14th is a challenge for Gents, as a Par 4, and for Ladies as a Par 5!

Following the 15th and 16th, come onto the 17th the longest Par 3, with a deceptive green.

Finish on the signature hole 18th, coming down towards the clubhouse.
